Speed is just a measure of how fast something or someone is moving. ![]() ![]() So, that’s exactly what we’re going to talk about today: How can you gauge how fast a football player is running by watching them pass the lines?įirst off, let’s talk about what speed is in the first place. A few weeks ago I had a Twitter conversation with the former host of QDT’s Modern Manners Guy, Trent Armstrong, in which Trent said something along the lines of: “I've always wondered how to tell how fast a football player is going based upon how quickly they run from, say, the 50 to the 40 yard line.” And I thought: “That’s a great question!”-especially since the American football season is just getting started.
